This is the unique, lovely view that I get to enjoy out the window during my Saturday morning Yoga class. These are called Bob Houses. Ice fishermen put these out on the ice for warming up and getting out of the wind.

wow!! That’s all frozen? They put huts on there? Don’t they fall in?

It does seem kinda crazy to put huts out there but it is even more amazing when you realize they use trucks and ATVs to pull them out there! I wouldn’t put my vehicle out there.

My mind can’t fathom that. I live in the tropics. Even the fridge struggles to get cold here. LOL

Are people still using those huts? It looks a little, um, melty out there…

Yes there were a bunch of people out on the ice further into the bay. And if you look carefully to the left and rear of the pilings of the pier you can see a car on the ice. We had 50 F weather and pouring rain a couple days before that froze on the top so it does look melty!

No, I’m with you on that – that’s what I thought too. You don’t need glasses. Just a cool optical illusion.

The ice pattern does rather look like dolphins. Now that would be a very unique view to see from one’s yoga class!
