A few photos from our vacation on Mt. Dessert Island of lupine & beach rose, the quintessential Maine ocean-side flowers, and some favorite daisy shots (they are happy by the sea, too!) And a poem thrown in for good measure. 🙂
Flowers by the Sea
Lupine’s purple spires announce,
“summer’s here!”
The deep purples gray and
begin to fade to seed pods,
as the white petals of
the daisy unfurl
and continue the lupines chorus,
“Yes!
Summer’s here!”

So pretty… I could easily sit there and vegetate for a few hours!! 🙄

Thank you! It is a very easy place to sit, relax and drink in nature’s beauty. I never want to leave when our vacation is over.

We had the same things blooming on PEI last week, except the Iris were in my garden. They do grow wild near our bogs, though.

Love getting to see the lupine. You are so lucky to have them grow nearby. We hope to get up to PEI one of these days. It is so beautiful where you are!
