My spirit is afloat in anticipation of our upcoming two-week stay in June at a humble cottage on the quiet side of Mt. Desert Island in Maine, the home of the beloved Acadia National Park. This photo is from a couple summers ago. Lobster-men’s dinghies float quietly as the sun sets, resting before the next days work. Seal Cove, Maine.
Maine is beautiful. I imagine you can’t wait to get there. Have fun. Love the photo.

It’s so beautiful and restorative and a great place to kayak in the ocean, hike and ride bicycles on the carriage trails. Thanks for stopping by!

“Spirit afloat” is a wonderful description of your anticipation…and the boats. I was in Acadia National Park once, many years ago, and I understand why you’re so eager to spend two weeks on Mt. Desert Island.
