Lost in the Details (Weekly Photo Challenge)

The beach is the perfect place to get “lost in the details”, noticing the changing light in the sky and on the water, patterns of breaking waves and the rhythm of the water as it flows up the beach and back into the sea. M and I were ready for a break from hiking in the snow so headed off to the coast last weekend instead of up the mountains. It was mild in the 40s, but the wind was strong enough to encourage keeping the zipper on my down coat firmly up to my chin. The sky was mostly cloudy and I wasn’t sure how my photos would come out but I was pretty pleased with them. So below are the details we saw during our winter stroll on the beach. I hope you enjoy them.
