January Thaw

The breath of the damp fog

bathed the forest

in droplets of evaporated snow.

This photo was taken on our short hike last Sunday, a mild 45F (7C). The temperature had been above freezing for a couple days and the snow had begun to evaporate causing a mist of ground fog in the woods that coated everything with moisture.  Here are some other photos from our walk.
