Weekly Photo Challenge (Green 2)

It is nature’s season of rest in New England.  The leaves have fallen off the trees and are brown underfoot, but there are still plenty of soft greens to be found at my favorite walking place. Come and see!

(Poetry fans- check out my previously posted poem, When I Saw the River Breath, written about this same place.)

Mossy root in repose

fern with frost

Moss-covered roots (ex: of a “pillow” – grew on decaying fallen tree which decomposed underneath leaving raised roots reaching into the earth)

hemlocks reflected in quiet pool

moss covered rock in river
